Checkmate - Weekly Chess Club

Looking for a calm, fun, and engaging activity for your child? Checkmate Club is a relaxed weekly chess session where children can learn, play, and unwind. The sessions focus on developing thinking skills, confidence, and patience in a friendly, supportive environment. No previous chess experience needed—just come along and enjoy the game.

What to Expect

• When: Every Tuesday

• Time: 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm

• Where: OBA Millennium Cultural Centre, Featherstall Rd, OL9 6QB

• Cost: £3.00 per session (block booking discount available)

Additional Information

• Open to all abilities—no chess experience required.

• Led by members of our Young Leaders Network and Sabrina.

• A great balance of learning, play, and relaxation.
