EmpowerHer – Sports & Creative Club for Girls

Funded by Sport England’s Movement Fund, EmpowerHer is all about creating a safe, supportive, and fun space where girls aged 5–12 can get active, build confidence, and enjoy a wide range of exciting activities.

This unique project is designed around the needs and interests of young girls, combining multi-sports with creative sessions like arts and crafts, all led by engaging female staff. From roller skating and football to badminton and cricket, every session is packed with energy, encouragement, and empowerment.

EmpowerHer is about more than just physical activity – it’s about developing life skills, building friendships, and helping girls feel confident in their abilities. Sessions run in 5-week blocks, giving us the chance to refresh activities and tailor them to the group.

What to Expect

• Sports & Creativity – A mix of multi-sports and arts/crafts activities.

• Positive Role Models – Sessions led by supportive and inspiring female staff.

• Confidence & Friendships – Building life skills, teamwork, and self-belief.

Programme Information

• When: Sunday, 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

• Where: Oldham Greenhill Sports & Recreational Club, Havelock Street, OL8 1JR

• Ages: 5 – 12 years

• Cost: £1.00 per session
